  Congratulations to the Association's new Board of Directors. At the annual meeting on 11 October 2005 three new board members were elected. The new board met again on 13 October 2005. At that time positions for each member were selected.

  • David Lenze -- Secretary
  • Gerry Mello -- Treasurer
  • Judy Falcon -- Member-at-Large

The Board will meet every other month on the 3rd Thursday for a regular meeting. Location and time will be posted on the mailboxes, this website, and announced via email. For your planning purposes those dates are:

  • 2005: November 17
  • 2006: January 19, March 16, May 18, July 20

The budget will be voted on at the November 17 meeting.
The annual board meeting of the members will be July 20th.
 

Please read the latest document for information on a new temporary ramp opening AND temporary lane closures beginning Saturday, October 22, 2005. A new temporary ramp to open next week in Virginia requiring earlier merge and traffic signal. Change will affect motorists traveling the beltway outer loop to Route 1 North into Old Town Alexandria. This is the last exit in Virginia before crossing the Wilson bridge into Maryland.
On 17 October, two officials from the Fairfax County Building Inspector's office met with homeowners and residents to answer questions and address concerns about the status of the crane investigation. Many Thanks to Brian Foley and James Patterson for taking time out of their evening to meet with us. For residents and homeowners unable to attend last nights meeting, minutes will be posted to the web site as soon as they are released. Additionally, see responses from Brian Foley, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, Fairfax County Government. This information is a follow-up from questions posed at the meeting held on the 17th.  
The Board met 4 Nov 2005 and approved a budget for next year. A copy, along with the official minutes, will be emailed to everyone on the email roster in the next few days. The quarterly assessment for next year will be $225.

In other business the Board renewed the land care contract with Tru-Green and approved a snow removal contract with Emery. The Board also approved 2 parking tags per household and will soon issue a newly designed tag.

The weather was on its best behavior on October 15th during the community get together hosted by Judy and Alex Falcon. A great time was had by the approximately 15 homeowners/residents who joined in for food, drinks, and a general good time. Look at the pictures.
